Sunday School teaching techniques: Dear Sunday school teacher.

Sunday school teaching techniques: Dear Teacher.

Dear Teacher

You go out of your way throughout the week to prepare for my Sunday school lessons, and you make sure that the lessons you teach me are scriptural. You search for interesting information on the topic, which will keep me excited and engaged throughout the lesson.

You practice the story out loud at home when you have time throughout the week. When you teach, you always teach from your heart. When you teach me, you make me feel like I am part of the story.

You constantly keep your gaze on us; you give each of us all your undivided attention. You always speak slowly and clearly for us to understand, and when we ask silly questions, you do not make us feel silly.

You never use big words that confuse us; instead, you use words that we can understand. The week can never end sooner for me to come to your class. Again, ooh, teacher, thank you for being the best teacher in the whole wide world.

I understand how frustrating it can be to teach without feeling appreciated. Teaching Sunday school can at times feel like a chore, but you are seen, you are loved, you are appreciated, and more than anything, God sees, he sees all the good you do for us.

Teacher, thank you for your efforts. You rock. You are amazing.
